In 1990, before the Internet, as we now know it, President George H.W. Bush signed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which requires public places to be accessible to people with disabilities.
Thirty years later, the definition of a “place of public accommodation” includes privately owned websites, it is law but more importantly, it is the right thing to do.
